    Masters in Business Administration

Grand Canyon University's MBA Program is accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs and designed for working professionals who wish to complete their degree without interrupting their professional careers. The program is fully integrated, with course work designed to build on previous studies while giving students the opportunity to select the electives most appealing and most useful to the student while still providing the breadth of the core courses for which the MBA degree is most recognized by employers. Each course is taught by doctoral-level faculty who themselves have successful and extensive business experience. An international student body provides a world-view of business today, and allows students to share and understand each other's experiences. Degree requirements can be completed in about two years.

Masters in Business Administration – Accounting

The MBA with a concentration in Accounting is designed for people who are in accounting positions and want further training and education in the field, or are looking for accounting positions and feel this program would make them more marketable. As most business students will acknowledge, accounting is the backbone of an organization, whether for profit or not-for-profit. Poor accounting skills can lead to an organization's downfall, so these skills become paramount in the successful career of a manager.

Masters in Business Administration – Finance

This program is designed for people who are currently in financial positions in their company and want to further their financial education to a higher level and for people that want to find a financial job and feel extra education would make them more marketable. This program is the most popular program at the graduate level in business because of its prominence in the success of an organization and the requirement for financial skills at all levels of management. This program is "practitioner-oriented" and strong on applications rather than theory.

Masters in Business Administration – Health Systems Management

The healthcare system in the United States is complex, unpredictable, and touches everyone in one-way or the other. In addition, aging populations require more attention to healthcare, and administrators of healthcare institutions increasingly recognize the need for understanding basic business principles and techniques. This program is designed for people who are interested in healthcare careers and/or those who work in public health, whether in public or private sectors. This concentration focuses on the needs of top administrators such as chief operating officers, chief nursing officers, chief executive officers, or those aspiring to reach such positions.

Masters in Business Administration – Leadership

While this concentration focuses on leadership skills in the business environment, people who want to be a leader in any of many situations can find material and experiences in this course of study to help them grapple with the concerns that leaders encounter. The overall goal of the concentration is to develop "transformational" leaders who anticipate and manage change and lead their organizational units to new, successful heights. Leadership has been recognized from the time of Moses; more recently the difference between management and leadership has been a subject of great interest. This concentration focuses on the many different ways a manager can lead people in the manager's unit, whether a few people or a thousand.

Masters in Business Administration – Marketing

Managers in many disciplines see that the work they do may be well done, but if no one knows of that success, the effort does not get the recognition it deserves. In short, they see the value of marketing. Though the concentration focuses on the marketing manager or the worker in marketing positions who aspire to be promoted in marketing, is it also useful for the small business manager or persons wanting more knowledge of marketing techniques and strategies. An organization could be effective internally, but unless it markets its products or services to others, it would remain unprofitable or (if not-for-profit) at least a failure in reaching its goals. This concentration focuses on methods and techniques which help managers guide their organizations in effective marketing programs.
